Founder, CEO, Acting, Improv & Filmmaking Instructor

Lisa Ovies, the founder and CEO of Rogue Studios, is a director, actor, and writer with over 100 awards and nominations, and over 15 years experience. She launched the studio in January 2017 after running one of Canada's fastest growing children's acting schools for 4 years. She is also the past president of ANFAgency and the owner of multiple production companies currently operating out of Rogue Studios. She launched Rogue’s film program, the EmpowHER Female Film program, in 2021, receiving the support of Sam Raimi and his company Raimi Productions.

She brings her love of film and passion for empowerment to all aspects of her work at Rogue Studios and has created an environment of love, respect and a feeling of community that truly makes her studio stand in a league of its own.
